THE 847 POST EXPERIMENT

March 4, 2026

In January 3, 2025 I told one of our clients to post 3 times a day for 90 days on TikTok. No strategy document. No content calendar. No brand guidelines review. Just post.

They thought I was insane. They were a B2B SaaS company. "Our audience isn't on TikTok," they said.

They did it anyway. 847 posts in 90 days.

THE RESULTS

Posts 1 through 200: basically nothing. Average 89 views. A few comments from bots. The client's CEO called me twice asking if this was a waste of time.

Posts 200 through 500: things started shifting. Average views climbed to 340. They found a format that worked — their head of engineering doing 30-second explainers. Nothing fancy. iPhone. No editing.

Posts 500 through 847: EVERYTHING CHANGED. Three posts broke 100K views. One hit 1.2 million. They got 11 inbound demo requests DIRECTLY from TikTok. Eleven. For a B2B SaaS product that costs $4,800 a year.

That's over $52,000 in pipeline from a platform "their audience wasn't on."

WHAT WE LEARNED

The algorithm needs DATA. It needs to understand who your content is for. You can't give it data with 2 posts a week. That's not enough signal.

Mr Beast has talked about this. He says his first 100 videos were terrible. Nobody watched them. But each one taught the algorithm — and taught him — something new.

You need REPS. Not ideas. Not plans. Reps.

THE REAL LESSON

Post 1 doesn't need to be good. Post 100 doesn't need to be good. But by post 400, you'll be dangerous. By post 800, you'll know exactly what works for your audience because you'll have 800 data points instead of 8.

Most brands post 8 times and quit. They say "social media doesn't work for us." No. YOU didn't work for social media.

The experiment proved what I've always believed: THE MARKET WILL TELL YOU WHAT IT WANTS IF YOU GIVE IT ENOUGH CHANCES.

PICK ONE PLATFORM. COMMIT TO 3 POSTS A DAY FOR 30 DAYS. THEN TALK TO ME.
